Day 1 & 2 Vancouver to Kamloops to Jasper (Rocky Mountaineer Train) Board the Rocky Mountaineer for the famous all-daylight rail journey through the Canadian Rockies. This trip offers breathtaking vistas and informative commentary along the way. Breakfast & lunch are served on board and hotel accommodation is provided mid-point in Kamloops.

Day 3 Morning sightseeing tour of Banff with Gondola This morning, tour the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos, Surprise Corner, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and the Banff Gondola for a breathtaking ascent to the pinnacle of Sulphur Mountain Return to downtown Banff at your leisure. (transfer not included)

Day 4 Banff to Lake Louise (Coach) Depart Banff early afternoon for a short drive via the scenic Bow Valley to Lake Louise.

Day 5 Lake Louise to Jasper (Coach) Your sightseeing tour today will encompass the ultimate glacier exploration as you travel along the spectacular Icefields Parkway From walking on ancient ice at the Glacier Adventure (included), to standing on a glass platform almost one thousand feet in the air at the Glacier Skywalk (included), today’s experiences will leave you with a special appreciation for this treasured region of the Rockies (picnic lunch included today)

Day 6 Jasper to Toronto (Rail) This morning (10am), board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the famous train journey across the prairies to Toronto.

Exclusive to Sleeper Plus Class: By day, sit back in comfortable seating and enjoy the exclusive comfort of your own accommodation. Come evening, attendants will transform your quarters into cozy bunks or a bedroom. Guests have access to the Park Car, located at the tail end of the train and recognized by its distinct tapered shape. Some Sleeper Plus Class amenities include towels, pillows, cozy down duvets and a shower kit. (lunch & dinner included today onboard VIA Rail)

Day 7 On-board VIA Rail Watch the scenery change as you travel through the prairies and great plains of Canada. Overnight onboard the train. (breakfast, lunch & dinner included today)

Day 8 On-board VIA Rail Today is spent crossing the scenic lake lands and forests of Ontario. Overnight onboard the train. (breakfast, lunch & dinner included today)

Day 9 Arrive Toronto (Rail) Arrive in Toronto this afternoon at 2pm. The rest of the day is free to explore Toronto on your own. (breakfast & lunch included today)

Day 10 Niagara Falls Day Tour Travel by air-conditioned motorcoach for a breathtaking, full-day tour through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Tour includes: Hornblower Niagara Falls Cruise or Journey Behind the Falls, a meal overlooking Niagara Falls, free time in Niagara on the Lake and a winery tour including a wine tasting.

Day 11 Toronto to Montreal (Rail) By rail enter French Canada and arrive in the vibrant city of Montreal. There will be plenty of stunning views along the way of the blue expanse of Lake Ontario, the lovely farmland of rural Quebec and the shores of the St. Lawrence River. (lunch is included today)

Day 12 Quebec City Sightseeing Tour Quebec City is the heart of French Canada. Nowhere else in North America is the appearance and atmosphere of an old-world city so complete. Quebec City looks and feels very European; perhaps that is why the entire old section of the town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Today qualified guides will help you discover the enchanting sights which are part of Quebec City’s history.

Day 13 Montreal City Tour, evening departure to Moncton (Rail) This morning enjoy a comprehensive 3 hour tour of Montreal, taking in over 20 points of interest including the Notre Dame Basilica, St. Joseph’s Oratory, Old Montreal, the French Quarter, views of the Olympic Site and a panoramic view over the city from Mt. Royal. Later in the afternoon board VIA Rail to Moncton. This evening enjoy the scenic vista through the rural communities of Quebec’s south shore. Overnight on VIA Rail. (dinner is included today)

Day 14 Morning On-board VIA Rail, afternoon transfer to Charlottetown Wake to views of the Atlantic Ocean, rolling hills, and quaint coastal villages that appear frozen in time. Shortly before lunch, arrive in the city of Moncton. Upon disembarking the train take an included private transfer to Charlottetown via the Confederation Bridge, this 13 km bridge which joins Cape Jourimain, New Brunswick and Borden-Carleton, Prince Edward Island and is the longest bridge over ice covered waters in the world. (Breakfast is included today)

Day 15 P.E.I. Island Drives & Anne of Green Gables Tour Today enjoy views of rolling farmlands, stunning seascapes, tiny villages and bustling harbours along the Green Gables Shore (scenic drive) as we get ready to tour the North Shore area. Brief photo stops at quaint little fishing villages, lighthouses and world class PEI National Park – Cavendish Beach. Tour Green Gables House, an old farm site that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s first novel, Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908. A must see attraction will be at Prince Edward Island Preserve Company, located in one of Canada’s prettiest village. The company uses locally grown fruit to make delicious jams and marmalades.

Day 16 Morning sightseeing tour of Charlottetown, afternoon transfer to Moncton Discover the history and charm of Canada’s Birthplace as you ride through the streets of Charlottetown. View Province House, Beaconsfield, Historic Great George Street, Charlottetown Driving Park, The Lieutenant Governor’s House, Victoria Park, University of Prince Edward Island, residential areas, and much more. Then early afternoon depart on a private transfer back over the Confederation Bridge to Moncton.

Day 17 Hopewell Rocks & Bay of Fundy Coastal Tour This full day tour is the best way to experience the dramatic rise and fall of the Bay of Fundy tides. You’ll see the world’s highest tides, pristine vistas, intriguing fossils, dramatic coastal landscapes near Cape Enrage, the charming fishing village of Alma and the oldest operational lighthouse on mainland New Brunswick. These world heritage sites will take your breath away.

Day 18 Moncton to St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. This morning is at leisure to enjoy the sites of Moncton before we transfer (included) to the resort town of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea.

Day 19 St. Andrews-by-the-Sea Whale Watch Cruise This afternoon experience the magnificence of the Bay of Fundy. Embark on a whale watching tour and immerse yourself in a marine ecosystem unlike anywhere else in the world. From nature’s largest mammals to unspoiled coastal scenery Highlights and wildlife sights can include: Finback, Minke, Humpback, Right Whales, harbour porpoise, seals, bald eagles, various bird colonies, lighthouses, salmon farms, herring weirs.

Day 20 St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. Today is yours to explore. St. Andrews is a treasure trove of beautiful architecture, unparalleled scenery and rich marine life. A thriving modern resort, yet the streets remain steeped in turn-of-the-century charm.

Day 21 St Andrews-by-the-Sea to Halifax This morning transfer (included) to the Moncton train station and board VIA Rail for the last leg of your Canadian journey. Your final train journey will travel from the province of New Brunswick and into the province of Nova Scotia and the capital city of Halifax. Your journey through history and across Canada concludes with your arrival at the Halifax train station.

Day 11 Toronto to Montreal (Rail) By rail enter French Canada and arrive in the vibrant city of Montreal. There will be plenty of stunning views along the way of the blue expanse of Lake Ontario, the lovely farmland of rural Quebec and the shores of the St. Lawrence River. (lunch is included today)

Day 12 Quebec City Sightseeing Tour Quebec City is the heart of French Canada. Nowhere else in North America is the appearance and atmosphere of an old-world city so complete. Quebec City looks and feels very European; perhaps that is why the entire old section of the town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Today qualified guides will help you discover the enchanting sights which are part of Quebec City’s history.

Day 13 Montreal City Tour, evening departure to Moncton (Rail) This morning enjoy a comprehensive 3 hour tour of Montreal, taking in over 20 points of interest including the Notre Dame Basilica, St. Joseph’s Oratory, Old Montreal, the French Quarter, views of the Olympic Site and a panoramic view over the city from Mt. Royal. Later in the afternoon board VIA Rail to Moncton. This evening enjoy the scenic vista through the rural communities of Quebec’s south shore. Overnight on VIA Rail. (dinner is included today)

Day 14 Morning On-board VIA Rail, afternoon transfer to Charlottetown Wake to views of the Atlantic Ocean, rolling hills, and quaint coastal villages that appear frozen in time. Shortly before lunch, arrive in the city of Moncton. Upon disembarking the train take an included private transfer to Charlottetown via the Confederation Bridge, this 13 km bridge which joins Cape Jourimain, New Brunswick and Borden-Carleton, Prince Edward Island and is the longest bridge over ice covered waters in the world. (Breakfast is included today)

Day 15 P.E.I. Island Drives & Anne of Green Gables Tour Today enjoy views of rolling farmlands, stunning seascapes, tiny villages and bustling harbours along the Green Gables Shore (scenic drive) as we get ready to tour the North Shore area. Brief photo stops at quaint little fishing villages, lighthouses and world class PEI National Park – Cavendish Beach. Tour Green Gables House, an old farm site that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s first novel, Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908. A must see attraction will be at Prince Edward Island Preserve Company, located in one of Canada’s prettiest village. The company uses locally grown fruit to make delicious jams and marmalades.

Day 16 Morning sightseeing tour of Charlottetown, afternoon transfer to Moncton Discover the history and charm of Canada’s Birthplace as you ride through the streets of Charlottetown. View Province House, Beaconsfield, Historic Great George Street, Charlottetown Driving Park, The Lieutenant Governor’s House, Victoria Park, University of Prince Edward Island, residential areas, and much more. Then early afternoon depart on a private transfer back over the Confederation Bridge to Moncton.

Day 17 Hopewell Rocks & Bay of Fundy Coastal Tour This full day tour is the best way to experience the dramatic rise and fall of the Bay of Fundy tides. You’ll see the world’s highest tides, pristine vistas, intriguing fossils, dramatic coastal landscapes near Cape Enrage, the charming fishing village of Alma and the oldest operational lighthouse on mainland New Brunswick. These world heritage sites will take your breath away.

Day 18 Moncton to St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. This morning is at leisure to enjoy the sites of Moncton before we transfer (included) to the resort town of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea.

Day 19 St. Andrews-by-the-Sea Whale Watch Cruise This afternoon experience the magnificence of the Bay of Fundy. Embark on a whale watching tour and immerse yourself in a marine ecosystem unlike anywhere else in the world. From nature’s largest mammals to unspoiled coastal scenery Highlights and wildlife sights can include: Finback, Minke, Humpback, Right Whales, harbour porpoise, seals, bald eagles, various bird colonies, lighthouses, salmon farms, herring weirs.

Day 20 St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. Today is yours to explore. St. Andrews is a treasure trove of beautiful architecture, unparalleled scenery and rich marine life. A thriving modern resort, yet the streets remain steeped in turn-of-the-century charm.

Day 21 St Andrews-by-the-Sea to Halifax This morning transfer (included) to the Moncton train station and board VIA Rail for the last leg of your Canadian journey. Your final train journey will travel from the province of New Brunswick and into the province of Nova Scotia and the capital city of Halifax. Your journey through history and across Canada concludes with your arrival at the Halifax train station.
