Originally from the UK, Abbie is now living in Vancouver and loving it! What’s not to love about a city with so much to do, and all within an arm’s reach of snow-capped mountains, lakes and even beaches.
Abbie has a Geography degree and has experience working for a Travel Agency in the UK.
She enjoys organizing trips for clients and helping others experience the best part of life – traveling!.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario is my favourite park for the endless forests pitted with lakes as far as the eye can see, as well as a chance to see animals in their natural habitat. Combine this with a hike through the vast trails they have established over the years, and once the sun goes down, you have the chance to light a fire and relax back in your campground with smores – perfection!
Tell us about a special discovery that you’ve made in Canada.
A short ferry ride from Vancouver is the quaint town of Gibsons located on the Sunshine Coast, and away from the hustle of the city. Gibsons is a perfect place to road trip for its bountiful scenery, winding roads and remarkably fresh seafood - the best fish and chips!
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
Whether it’s searching for marine life on a whale watching excursion or bear viewing at a remote lodge – experience what makes Canada so unique with a wildlife trip! I went on a River Safari in Blue River on the way to Clearwater, BC. We got up close to a bear having its lunch and it was an amazing experience that I’ll never forget.
