Charles came to Canada from China in 2015 to pursue his post-secondary education.
After earning his BA in Economics at UVIC in 2020, he realized his passion didn’t lie in the financial industry but rather wanted a job that makes people happy.
Thanks to his personal passion for travel, he decided to join the tourism industry and earned his Tourism Marketing Management Diploma at BCIT.
In his spare time, Charles loves cooking, drawing, photography, and connecting to nature (especially going to beaches in the summer!).
What is your favorite place in Canada?
Victoria. I lived there for four years when I was attending UVIC, and I was obsessed with the city. People there are soooo kind, and the landscapes are picturesque! Nothing compares to walking along the Inner Harbor at sunset in the summer.
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
I traveled alone through Eastern Canada during the summer of 2019, exploring Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. Among these, Quebec City was my absolute favorite – probably because I haven’t been to Europe, so the feeling there was new and unique.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
I would say Banff and Lake Louise. All of the photos I've seen from my friends, relatives or the internet are breathtaking. And of course, when we talk about Canadian tourism, Banff Lake Louise is the icon.
