From start to finish it was an ideal trip for us to enjoy Canada scenery, atmosphere and hospitality
We would like to express our appreciation for a wonderful trip arranged through Jules M, Canada Rail Vacations. . We were afforded the right amount of activity for the trip yet relaxing. The suggested route from Calgary to Jasper was just spectacular. The hotels we stayed in are in town. And of course the train ride is A plus. Again Thank you.

Canada - Endless beauty from a train window.
I thought I could visit friends in Toronto after seeing my daughter in NYC and, knowing nothing about Toronto googled ‘what to do’ there. The first thing that came up was an ad from Canada Rail Vacations about travelling by train to the Rockies. My immediate thought was ‘yes!’ I liked their proposed itinerary and loved every day of the trip. Via Rail from Toronto to Jasper offered wonderful views, companionable and delicious meals, and a cosy cabin. The amount of water - lakes, rivers, waterfalls - is just about incomprehensible to we Australians and nurtured my spirit. Interesting late night stop at Winnipeg - behind the station is the magnificent Human Rights Museum - wonderful to know it even exists. The hotel stays and wildlife tours in Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff gave me a good introduction to the magnificent Rockies, and all the arrangements fell into place well. The Rocky Mountaineer trip to Vancouver was a dreamlike experience. Travelling by train offers so much more than flying-in-flying-out, and crossing beautiful Canada’s waterways, rocky shield, prairies and mountains was uplifting.

I loved the trip!
You did a great job of offering me excursions that were just right for me. The train portion was wonderful! I had never been overnight on a train. I loved the special little compartment, and the food was very good. All in all, an absolutely delightful trip, thank you for doing a perfect job of putting it all together for me.

It was such a relief to know that we could trust Canada Rail Vacations before and during our trip.
What a trip!!! Thank you Karen J. from Canada Rail Vacations! What a trip!!!! Karen J. from Canada Rail Vacations was amazing in helping us to plan our once in a lifetime trip! Everything was planned perfectly. Thanks to Karen, we stayed in the beautiful Rimrock hotel in Banff- across of the Hot springs and five minutes away from the Gondola. We were picked up for our day trips from our hotel and enjoyed the beauty of the place. In Jasper-Karen suggested to stay at Fairmont Jasper. We LOVED the resort and got a beautiful cabin on the lake. That was an amazing surprise for us! Again the day trips were well organized from A to Z. We finished the trip with a two day ride on the Mountaineer from Jasper to Vancouver (we got the silver leaf and we were so very happy with it). Canada Rail vacation's staff always responded by email of a phone call, also when Karen was away.

We had a fabulous time on our Canadian adventure!
We loved everything that was planned. The train trip to Montreal worked out really well, they kept bringing us food and drinks and the seats and views were great. Then we arrived and just had to go up the elevator to our hotel which was beautiful and had a wonderful view from our room. The food tour the next day was really fun- lots of good tastes and sights to see! All in all, the trip was fab so thanks again for all your help!

I don't know how I will ever thank you all at Canada Rail Vacations for everything you did for us and making a trip of a life time surpass our wildest expectations!
We LOVED Canada and look forward to coming back and doing the same route in the spring or autumn. In fact we would even consider doing it again in winter as it was so stunningly beautiful. After booking the trip and advising the date we wanted, I was very impressed with Karen's professionalism and prompt service, nothing was too much trouble. When we requested things from her, all the information given to us was accurate and up to date.

A truly professional organisation.
My wife and I have just returned from a holiday in the Canadian Rockies, designed and coordinated by Canada Rail Vacations. My initial enquiry about a vacation package on their website received an immediate response asking about our preferences - budget, duration, standard of hotels, excursions, etc. An ongoing dialogue via email allowed CRV to tailor a holiday which included all the towns/villages we wanted to see, some amazing hotels, exciting excursions, and at a very affordable price. (We had to exclude the dog-sledding on price and a snow-shoe trip based on our age !!). We were given all the information we needed, and payment was not required until shortly before departure. The itinerary included details of all hotels, daily activities, reservation codes, and clear directions to make our connections. A very late train to Vancouver taught us that VIA Rail's timetable was a guide only, but CRV did everything imaginable to guide us through the crisis, including paying for an extra night in our Jasper hotel. I am sure that CRV will attend to your vacation needs, showing the same dedication as they did with ours.

It was a very memorable trip and I highly recommend to all.
I took the 'ALPINE CANADIAN' tour from Vancouver to Calgary, departing on August 1, 2017 to celebrate my 75th Birthday. The weather was gorgeous. Some smoke from fires while on the train in BC but nothing to bother. The train was wonderful. Sleeping compartment small but very adequate. Bed extremely comfortable but covered the private 'potty' when it pulled down. Even though I have to get up several times a night it was no problem as there is a public restroom down the hall. It was very large and great to dress and do makeup in the morning. Food was excellent and nice variety of choices. Everyone was extremely accommodating. The bus tours by 'SUN DOG TOURS' is amazing. The tour bus has plush leather seats that recline to almost a bed. It only holds 30 people and there were only 11 on our trip. It stops many times to let us off and take pictures. One of the highlights that many people would not see if they drive themselves is the 'Athabasca Falls'. It is not visible from the highway so you would really have to watch for signs or miss it. It was only a block from the highway. The driver was excellent and provided a lot of information. The highway was #93 also called the 'ICE FIELDS PARKWAY'. The driver said it is the 7th in the world known for its beautiful scenery. I believe it. The Glacier ride was fun, cool, and a little slippery, but I would not miss it. The Sky Walk was very exciting, but made me a little dizzy if I looked down while walking. No problem, just look ahead. Ha ha. We walked from our Hotel to the 'CHATEAU LAKE LOUISE' hotel and had dinner overlooking the Lake. Beautiful. The full day in Banff was fun and relaxing. We saw one Elk on the wildlife tour plus the beautiful 'BANFF SPRINGS HOTEL'. (The locals call it 'The Springs'). We ate at 'St. James's Gate Pub' on main street in Banff. It is a pub from Ireland they dis-assembled and brought to Banff and re-assembled. The Yorkshire Pudding appetizer was to die for.
