of eastern Canada with Canada Rail Vacations. Andre was very helpful and responsive to questions as we researched and booked the tour. There was a good combination of scheduled tours and free time to explore on our own. This is not a tour where you travel with one large group and guide the whole time. We liked that it was more like traveling on our own but with hotels, train, and some (not all) transportation was pre-planned.

We wanted to thank Jasmine Wong and Canada Rail Vacations. for our great fly and self-drive vacation traveling to Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Edmonton & Drumheller AB from July 24th to August 1st. We had a great time. Good accommodation. Great venues - Banff Sulphur Mt. Gondola, Banff Hot Springs, Columbia Icefield excursion and Tyrell Museum. The weather was perfect, the scenery was breathtaking and the wildlife sightings in and around Jasper and Elk Island National Park were an extra special bonus. Everything was planned perfectly. Thanks to Karen, we stayed in the beautiful Rimrock hotel in Banff- across of the Hot springs and five minutes away from the Gondola. We were picked up for our day trips from our hotel and enjoyed the beauty of the place. In Jasper-Karen suggested to stay at Fairmont Jasper. We LOVED the resort and got a beautiful cabin on the lake. That was an amazing surprise for us! Again the day trips were well organized from A to Z. We finished the trip with a two day ride on the Mountaineer from Jasper to Vancouver (we got the silver leaf and we were so very happy with it). Canada Rail vacation's staff always responded by email of a phone call, also when Karen was away.

The ENTIRE trip was seamless and went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough good things about Andre, our Senior Travel Designer, who helped us every step of the way.

To celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, my wife and I just took the Canadian Rockies Rail Winter Escapades trip, with the VIA Rail Prestige class and upgraded Fairmont hotel options. First of all, he wanted to understand the purpose of our trip and if we had been to these locations before. He also ensured the hotels knew this was a celebration trip. He really wanted this to be a perfect trip for us. The trip was absolutely FANTASTIC! From start to finish, every detail, every adventure, every day! Dale and I just returned from our "Ice Field Discovery" trip. Our vacation could not have been better! Everything was taken care of so we did not have to worry about anything! The train trip was a throw back in time to the 1950's and reminded me of the Zephyr that I rode as a child. Of course, there were many upgrades but the ambiance was so romantic! The bus trip from Jasper to Lake Louise was great. It was an intimate charter bus so we made friends with the other passengers. We made several stops on our journey for pictures and points of interest. Our driver was fantastic. Lake Louise and Banff were the highlights! Our hotel accommodations were upgraded so we got to stay in the "gold" area of the hotel. It was very special. Thank you Canada Rail Vacations so much for a wonderful vacation that created memories for our lifetime! You did a great job!

We had a fabulous time on our Canadian adventure!

We loved everything that was planned. The train trip to Montreal worked out really well, they kept bringing us food and drinks and the seats and views were great. Then we arrived and just had to go up the elevator to our hotel which was beautiful and had a wonderful view from our room. The food tour the next day was really fun- lots of good tastes and sights to see! All in all, the trip was fab so thanks again for all your help!
